Protect your pet. ShelterCare Pet Insurance Programs

Come and find your perfect match!   We want to help you find a companion that meets your lifestyle and expectations and to find a family that fufills each animal's behavioral and physical needs.  The ultimate goal is a life-long relationship that brings companionship and happiness to everyone involved!  We have the ability to SAFER and or Meet Your Match assess the animals to give potential adopters insight into each animals personality to help facilitate finding a suitable match.  In the event an evaluation has not yet been completed, one can be requested.

Start the adoption process by completing an Adoption Application .  If you don't find your companion with us at this time, the information can be kept on file at the Humane Society until you do.

Next, select potential adoptees from our adoptable pets page and review their biographies for additional information.  Feel free to contact the shelter if you have any additional questions or would like to make arrangements for a meet and greet.  In most instances, a 24 hour hold can be placed on an available animal to give potential adopters time to make provisions for a visit.

Meet with your selected animal.  In some cases visits can take up to an hour, so please be sure to schedule ample time.  Our goal is for your adoption to last a lifetime, so it is understandable if time is needed to make a decision.  We are happy to hold the animal for 24 hours for you or make arrangements for an in home visit.  Once you have made your decision, a staff member or volunteer will review your application and survey for final approval.  At this time, the adoption will be conducted and arrangements will be made for your new companion to brought home!
